fire logoThe Washington Township Fire Department is an award winning internationally accredited agency providing fire and emergency medical services to Centerville/Washington Township through a cost-effective combination of full-time, part-time and part-paid staff. Fire and EMS crews respond from five fire stations strategically located throughout the service area.
Our Mission - The Washington Township Fire Department provides exceptional emergency and non-emergency services to enhance the safety and well-being of our community.

Emergency Services

Staff members responded to nearly 9,316 fire and emergency medical calls last year. To stay prepared, they receive ongoing instruction in fire suppression, emergency medical services and specialized rescue techniques.

Community Risk Reduction Division

The Community Risk Reduction Division ensures that buildings, businesses and new construction in the community are built and maintained according to the most up-to-date safety codes. The division provides inspection services and a variety of programs that promote safety education and fire prevention.

Additional Services

The Fire Department also offers a variety of programs focused on improving community safety, such as placing automated external defibrillators in public locations and training people in their use. Other programs are available to those who contact the department – including CPR training, address locator signs, child safety seat inspections and vial of life materials described on this site.
