Present your photo ID. The service is free for Centerville-Washington Township residents.

Residents can drop off up to 12 grocery size bags containing paper, tapes, CDs, and credit cards. Click here for examples of sensitive documents.

Store your documents in disposable containers. We will keep the containers and dispose of them.

Township staff will unload items, and documents will be securely shredded.
A deputy from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Washington Township Substation will be on hand to provide information about identity theft. Law enforcement experts recommend people shred important documents such as bank statements, credit cards, credit reports, driver's licenses, medical records, mortgage applications or paperwork, Social Security information, and tax returns.
