Save a Life, Donate Blood!

 

The Washington Township Fire Department is proud to partner with Versiti Community Blood Center to host six blood drives each year.

 

2026 Blood Drives will be held on January 8, March 5, May 7, July 2, September 3, and November 5.

Our next blood drive is Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 1-7 pm at Fire Headquarters Training Room, 8320 McEwen Road. Click here to schedule your appointment.



Facts about Donating Blood

  • Someone needs blood every two seconds.

  • One pint of blood can save up to three lives.

  • There are four easy steps to donate blood: medical history; quick physical; donation; and snacks.

  • Healthy adults who are at least 17 years old and at least 110 pounds may donate a pint of blood every 56 days.
