Fire Department Staffing
The Washington Township Fire Department provides around-the-clock emergency response with personnel who respond directly from five fire stations positioned strategically throughout Centerville/Washington Township.
Chief Nick Bergman directs the fire department. Serving the department for the past 15 years,
Chief Bergman previously served four years as deputy chief where he oversaw the department's
successful accreditation process through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI), operated as the project manager for the design and build of Fire Station 41, and managed the department's Community Risk Reduction Division.

Battalion Chiefs: Josh Augustine, Darian Edwards, Joel Holbrook, Ed Kuzminski, Matt Lolli
Fire Marshal: William Sutter
Positions include firefighters, inspectors, mechanics and administrative employees. Personnel also assist in areas of accreditation, training, maintenance, medical administration, public education and clerical services.
Honor Guard - The Honor Guard participates in community events where flag raising, or dedication ceremonies take place and serves as the formal representative of the fire department during memorial services. For a civic or community event, contact us at 937-433-3083 or make a request by email.
